Colour

In Gattaca the colours used throughout the film displayed a key message. They commonly futuristic colours such as neon blues and neon whites. This is contrasted with a more common theme of colours like yellows and browns. I believe they have used these colours because the yellow and brown pallet represent the 2000’s where they learnt the consequences of genetic selection.
